Lesley Barbara Evans (née Gibb, born 12 January ) is an English singer, daughter of musician Hugh Gibb and sister of English musicians Barry, Robin and Maurice and Andy Gibb.

Early and personal life

Lesley Gibb was born on 12 January in Manchester, Lancashire, England. She is the only daughter and eldest child of drummer Hugh Leslie Gibb and his wife Barbara (née Pass) who was a dance band vocalist.[1]

In Lesley married Keith Evans, an Australian salesman who was also once her brother Barry's assistant and they had eight children.

They live in the Blue Mountains National Park in Australia, where Lesley ran a dog boarding kennel.

The least well known of the Gibb musical family, Lesley had a brief singing career when she stood in for Robin Gibb after a family argument. When Robin left the Bee Gees in March , Leslie appeared with the band on Talk of the Town, aired on BBC 2 on 17 May She later said: “I secretly ­became the fourth Bee Gee."[2] However, unlike her famous brothers, Lesley did not enjoy performing on stage and said: "I was petrified, all those people watching, I almost burst into tears".[3] Lesley performed "Give Your Best" with Ian MacLeod which was included on his album Restless.

The song was written by her brothers.[4] Although Lesley toyed with the idea of a singing career she had recently given birth to twins and decided to return to Australia to become a housewife and later dog breeder.[5] She later said: "It was amazing. I loved it but it wasn't for me.
